I quickly leaf blow the surface to get debris cleared away (usually mulch and leaves). Then the concrete is sprayed with a mild detergent. The product we pre-treat with is very mild, pretty much soap. Pets aren't really attracted to it and it won't kill your grass. At worst if an animal (or human) consumed a lot of our non-toxic cleaner expect an upset stomach.
The bulk of our cleaning is done with a rotary head that scrubs the surface from every direction. Then we make a second pass with a traditional pressure wash head to clean up edges and tough spots. Lower pressure with a bit of skill always beats some kid blasting away at full power. The goal is to clean, not damage the surface.
The last step is to rinse away any linger dirt or debris with a good old fashion hose. Low spots and grass berms tend to collect dirty water, so we use a leaf blower to blast way away pools.

Sidewalks, stamped concrete, patios, pool decks, driveways, some brick depending on style and wood decks (see fine print). In addition to getting better results than most, lower pressure combined with non-toxic, non -caustic chemicals and lighter gear makes it safer for your property, the environment, pets and surrounding vegetation.
